Do You Currently Feel Like A Slave To Your Phone?
What do I mean by that? Are you the type of person where you find yourself getting really flustered with getting back to people’s messages?
Listen, it’s a pretty good problem to have. If you have a bunch of people in your inbox and you got a lot of messages to get back to.
However, it can feel REALLY overwhelming and tiring to. Especially as business begins to grow and the momentum. Not only do you have prospects reaching out you now have a team doing it to.
Whys is this? Becausewe still have everyday stuff to do to. Feeding your kids, cleaning your home and spending time with family.
Sometimes you can find yourself so engaged in your phone, and so engaged in actually responding to people even the pings begin to drive you crazy, because you just can’t keep up.
You begin to get frustrated with life. You begin to get frustrated with everything around you. You begin to get annoyed. I Put that down to….
I believe MOST people get overwhelmed and frustrated by prospecting due to lack of balance or not being present where they are.
What do I mean by that? I mean by trying to work when your head is elsewhere. Trying to prospect when cooking or trying to prospect whilst spending time with your family etc.
Now, it’s good to be there for people. It’s good to be responsive. It’s good to do all of those things. However, it’s a lot more effective in your business if you can prospect, send messages, and engage with people in a structured manner.
If you’re prospecting, you should be prospecting. If you’re spending time with your kids, you should be spending time with your kids. If you’re cooking dinner, you should be cooking dinner. If you’re spending time with your partner watching a movie, that’s what you should be doing. If you’re in bed to go to sleep, you should be going to sleep.
Honestly, so many people are struggle with getting stuff done, because they try to do three to four things at once.
If you do one thing at 100% effort or as close to that as you can, you’ll get a lot more done than trying to do three things at 33.3% each. Not only that you will do it at a better quality too.
My biggest tip to you number one would be find some sort of balance in your life, and be present where you are.

Setting TIMERS, TIMERS literally improved my closing rate but also improved my relationships with my family.
I now have ultra specific times I spend on Facebook messenger, for example I will set myself a timer to respond to unread messages 20 mins then blast out as many as I can.
Or if im making an initial contact ill focus on JUST saying hi and connecting(Not responding yet).. Using the same concept of using a timer.
My main focus would be just opening up conversations, connecting and engaging with people, and starting a conversation.
I will then set out a separate time in my day to respond or clear my inboxes, is what I like to call it, so I get back to everybody that has actually responded to my initial message or reached out to me direct. I highly recommend doing this on a laptop, because you can filter by unread messages. Meaning you can focus on just the responses and responding.
On your laptop go into messenger. Top left hand corner there’s like a little gear like a settings button. Click that and put filter unread messages, so the only messages that show in your inbox are ones that you haven’t responded to.
That means you can literally just go down the list and respond to everybody in your inbox in a set a lot amount of time.
Why is this so effective?
1) You are actually focused on what you are sending you’ll make way less mistakes.
2) Your present where you are so when you are not responding you can actually get other jobs done more efficiently and not feel stressed.
3)100% focus = better quality and less desperation.
4) You are not frustrated trying to do 3 things at once.
5) You’ll find yourself connecting to MORE people.
